Documents You'll Need

Return or onward ticket and VALID PASSPORT or proof of citizenship and personal identification. martinique authoroties require all visitors to have in theri possession one of the following items:

• VALID PASSPORT (EUROPEAN COMMUNITY: NATIONAL IDENTITY CARD)
• BIRTH CERTIFICATE
• U.S. NATURALIZATION CERTIFICATE
• U.S. ALIEN REGISTRATION CARD
• U.S. REENTRY PERMIT

Please Note: A U.S. REGISTRATION CARD IS NO LONGER ACCEPTABLE AS A PRIMARY DOCUMENT FOR PROOF OF CITIZENSHIP.

What to Wear

On this island where summer never ends, you will need to wear light casual clothes for excursions, a bathing suit, shorts and sandals for the beach. The women usually dress up a little more than the men in the evenings, and a jacket and tie are rarely required except on certain restaurants and casinos. Finally, do not forget to bring a sweater and sunglasses.
