Documents You'll Need

Return or onward ticket and VALID PASSPORT or proof of citizenship and personal identification. jamaica authoroties require all visitors to have in theri possession one of the following items:

  • VALID PASSPORT
  • BIRTH CERTIFICATE
  • U.S. NATURALIZATION CERTIFICATE
  • U.S. ALIEN REGISTRATION CARD
  • U.S. REENTRY PERMIT
Please Note: A U.S. REGISTRATION CARD IS NO LONGER ACCEPTABLE AS A PRIMARY DOCUMENT FOR PROOF OF CITIZENSHIP.

Customs Made Easy

Each visitor may bring into Antigua - DUTY FREE:

  • 1/2 lb. tobacco including cigarettes
  • 1 quart of liquor except rum
  • No firearms, drugs, fresh flowers, meat, plants, honey, fruits, coffee and explosive allowed

Taxes and Gratuities

  • Airport - JA $500 (payable at airport upon departure)
  • Cruise Ship - US $15

What to Wear

Lightweight, tropical clothing is best suited throughout the year. On the beaches, shorts and swimwear are acceptable. A light sweater is suggested for evening, especially in winter. Some hotels require casual eveing wear for women, and a jacket for men when dining.
