Credit Cards
Credit cards are accepted by virtually every shop and restaurant, and most hotels. Visitors should check in advance to ascertain which properties accept credit cards.
Currency
The legal currency is the French franc. Bills and coins are the same as in continental France:
100 centimes = 1 Franc. U.S. and Canadian currency can be exchanged at banks or at large hotels. Bank checks and money orders are accepted all over; and credit cards are honored in a large number of establishments.
