Documents You'll Need

Return or onward ticket and VALID PASSPORT or proof of citizenship and personal identification. grenada authoroties require all visitors to have in theri possession one of the following items:

  • VALID PASSPORT
  • BIRTH CERTIFICATE
  • U.S. NATURALIZATION CERTIFICATE
  • U.S. ALIEN REGISTRATION CARD
  • U.S. REENTRY PERMIT
Please Note: A U.S. REGISTRATION CARD IS NO LONGER ACCEPTABLE AS A PRIMARY DOCUMENT FOR PROOF OF CITIZENSHIP.

Restricted Items

Illicit (narcotic) drugs, arms, ammunition. Firearms. Licensed firearms must be declared and are subject to police and immigration regulations. A local license is obtainable from the police.

Customs Made Easy

Each visitor may bring into Grenada - DUTY FREE:

  • Clothing and articles for personal use
  • Amount of Currency
  • 50 cigars
  • 200 cigarettes
  • ½ lb. tobacco
  • 1.137 litres (1 qt.) wine and spirit
  • Used implements, instruments, tools of profession, trade, occupation or employment.

Taxes and Gratuities

Air passenger/Departure Tax - $35 EC for person 12 and older
Air passenger/Departure Tax - $17.50 EC for children 5 to 11
Children under 5 years exempt
(Departure tax is collected when leaving the island).

What to Wear

Lightweight, informal summer clothing can be worn year-round. Dress is generally casual, and sportswear is accepted in most places. Visitors should not wear bathing suits or mini-shorts in streets or stores. Bring long pants and hiking shoes if you intend to hike. Nude or topless sun-bathing is not permitted.
