Return or onward ticket and VALID PASSPORT or proof of citizenship and personal identification. dominican authoroties require all visitors to have in theri possession one of the following items:

• A U.S. $10 TOURIST CARD
• VALID PASSPORT
• BIRTH CERTIFICATE
• U.S. NATURALIZATION CERTIFICATE
• U.S. ALIEN REGISTRATION CARD
• U.S. REENTRY PERMIT

Please Note: A U.S. REGISTRATION CARD IS NO LONGER ACCEPTABLE AS A PRIMARY DOCUMENT FOR PROOF OF CITIZENSHIP.

Customs Made Easy

Each visitor may bring into dominican - DUTY FREE:

• Personal luggage
• 1 liter of aclcohol
• One carton of cigarettes
• Gift articles value no more than $100 U.S.
• For cameras, videos, radios etc., a special permission is required.

Taxes and Gratuities

Air passenger - $10 U.S.

What to Wear

Dress in the Dominican Republic is casual. Cotton and other light materials are suggested. For fancy restaurants and other night activities a sport-jacket and shoes are suggested for men, and an appropriate evening attire is suggestive for women. Shorts are not permitted for visitng the Cathedral.
