Sports


The independent, adventurous, and welcoming spirit of Bermuda is part of the legacy of the island's colonizers. Some sport activities:


Snorkling


Shimmering sea fans, colourful corals, vivid parrot fish, angelic angelfish, sergeant majors, exotic trumpet fish and big groupers are only part of the wonder, mystery and magic of the undersea fantasia that awaits snorkellers.

Tennis


Over 100 all-weather tennis courts available, many lit for night play.

Golf


Enjoy the challenge and awsome beauty of any of Bermuda's eight golf courses.

Deep sea fishing


Fishing charter boats are equipped with fighting chairs and outriggers, and are skippered by licensed guides who can show you where the big ones are ....... the rest is up to you.

Diving


Equipped dive centres with certifired dive masters will gladly "take you down" for the first time, provide lessons, or test for certification. Non-swimmers and children may take the plundge, and enjoy the underwater experience without even getting their hair wet by taking one of our Helmet Diving excursions.

Windsurfing


Follow the wind on a sailboard and experience the world's fastest growing sport.

Horse Back Riding


Follow a trail along bridle paths accompanied by qualified instructors. Lessons are available. Bring a camera.

Biking


Cycling is a convenient and pleasurable way to meander through the parishes of Bermuda.

Strolling


Take a stroll through Bermuda. Scenic opportunities abound. There are endless miles of beauty.

Jogging


Meet fellow enthusiasts by joining the fun run around the Botanical Gardens. There are also competitve events throughout the year.

Sea ski


Many protected harbours and inland waterways make Bermuda a waterskier's dream come true. Lessons for the novice are available from qualified instructors.

Rugby


During the World Rugby Classic (Nov), international players compete with local teams, and they mean business. When the grunting is over, the winners and losers meet over a friendly pint "at the pub."

Soccer


Local team periodically compete with top flight visitors at the National Stadium. Local games are played Sunday afternoons, Sep to April.

Cricket


A far cry from the striped blazers and tea time of yesteryear, it is an even no visitor will ever forget. Sunday matches all summer.
