Sports


The sea is Barbados' playground and the promise of water fun is always rewarded. Sports are even more varied and abundant under the island sun. Some sport activities:


Windsurfing and Surfing


The relatively new, but already popular, sport of windsurfing has really caught on in Barbados.

Yatching


In the sea surrounding the entire island, conditions for yatching in the steady trade winds have become internationally known.

Diving


Scuba and skin divers will be astonished at the variety of tropical marine life that exists in our coral reefs and in sunken wrecks.

Skiing and Para-sailing


The placid blue waters of the west coast provide excellent conditions for the skiing enthusiast. And for more adventure, how about harnessing into a parachute and skiing off into the sky high above the boat and beach.

Cricket


Cricket is the Bajan national sport. Barbados is one of the international capitals of cricket and always contributes a large contingent to the West Indies Team.

Running


Long distance running, albeit only for the physically fit, is met with such enthusiam locally that an annual Run Barbados International Road Race is held the first weekend in December.

Horse Racing


For an afternoon of great fun and excitement go for sports of kings.

Tennis


Tennis is played extensively around Barbados on a number of courts attached to hotels as well as public courts.

Golf


Four fine golf courses are available.

Squash


There are ten different locations in Barbados for you to attempt a winning boast in a spirited contest.
