Credit Cards
Credit cards are accepted by most shops, restaurant, and hotels. Visitors should check in advance to ascertain which properties accept credit cards.
Currency
The Barbados dollar is tied to the U.S. dollar at a rate of $1.98 Bds. to $1.00 U.S. Other foreign currencies fluctuate daily against that standard. In any currency, commercial banks generally give a better rate of exchange than you'll get if you use foreign money for purchase. Traveller's cheques are also accepted at most establishments.
